Staged Living Room

who we are

Portland Design Group was founded in Portland, Oregon in 2015 by Jessica Ferber, who had never heard of home staging in her life. After living in New York, Hawaii, and Portland with a collection of uninspiring jobs under her belt, she was determined to enjoy the working day without being stuck behind a desk. With a background in advertising, experiential design, and photography, an interest in real estate and an 𝚘̶𝚋̶𝚜̶𝚎̶𝚜̶𝚜̶𝚒̶𝚘̶𝚗̶ love for furniture, it all started to point to one thing: home staging.

The company's grown from a garage, to a garage and a storage unit, to a warehouse, to two warehouses. We drive big vans, stage all sorts of homes, and love meeting new clients. It's a challenging (and sweaty) job, but we love doing it.

Jessica Ferber

Owner/Designer/Boss Lady

Jessica, like Forrest Gump, has had a colorful background and is exceptionally good at ping pong. Her formative career includes production, animation, advertising, working for the US Census and Wheel of Fortune, and is even a published author. Rebirth of the Cool (2015), a book about a gifted photographer who died homeless in Vermont, can be found on every coffee table we stage.

Ariel Jaime

Stylist/Resident Optimist

Forever imagining and creating beauty, with a more eclectic background than Jess, but don’t be intimidated. While not staging homes, Ari works as a massage therapist, studies for his real estate license, and designs his dream home.

Dana Berry

Marketing Manager/Helper Monkey

Spends a completely normal amount of time on social media, she swears. Doesn’t spend enough time petting her cats, according to her cats.

Kue

Stylist/Trend Setter

With a sense of style that ranges from fashion to photography to graphic design, Kue leaves everything looking better than when she arrived. And for the audiophiles, she's also the front woman of the band Wet Dream.
